Taj was born and raised in the Bronx New York to a sports family. His mother was an accomplished cheerleader and dancer and his father played quarterback for Hofstra University D1.

Because of his father’s military service Taj moved all around the country at a young age. It was in 2nd grade when he first played organized football. Taj would move back to NYC for middle school where he played organized basketball for his schools and boys and girls clubs. Once he got to high school he went back to football where he was named captain of JV at the end of his freshman year and pulled early into varsity halfway through his 2nd season. He primarily played center, left guard and nose tackle. He would go on become a varsity captain and win the leadership and academic awards in high school. He got to college and played division 3 NCAA, was placed in the starting lineup his rookie year, and ended up winning rookie of the year his first season. Taj also has a strong interest in media and technology. He graduated from the college of technology at Alfred with a bachelor’s degree in Network Administration and a AS in Information Technology. now that he is no longer playing football, he uses his sports talk shows to keep himself around the game.

He still plays basketball as often as he can.
